"After
word went out in a newsletter to postal workers about Epstein's
search, she was barraged with photo of unusual boxes on their
routes. The boxes express something about the person's life,
occupation, hobby, or sense of humor." -Elizabeth
Wasserman, The Mercury News, San Jose, CA

About
the author
Rachel
Epstein is a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area. Although
her specialty is photographing people, her name is often associated
with mailboxes. Rachel has traveled 25,000 miles - nearly the circumference
of the earth - to photograph the most unusual mailboxes in America.
The result of this project was her first book. Mailbox, U.S.A. chronicles
her encounters with the fascinating people - from hog farmers to
the rich and famous of Beverly Hills - who make and own the country's
most extraordinary one-of-a-kind mailboxes.
Fifteen years into her career as an editorial photographer, Rachel
Epstein met Rachel Kinoshita, an outstanding product photographer.
The two Rachels combined their skills and resources, forming a supportive
and dynamic photo team, Rachel + Rachel.
